What To Expect

It is time for your session. You have given the children a bath, brushed their hair and teeth, selected their outfits and loaded them into the car and are headed my way. What should you expect?

A Residential Studio Nestled On Eleven Acres of Rural Countryside

Upon arrival, you will notice our awesome red barn, our rustic shed and the vast number of trees and green space that can be found on our property. Turn down the winding drive to the house, where you will find the indoor studio.

A Welcoming Environment

Just as you pull up to the house, I am there to greet and welcome you. You will always find me in jeans and a comfortable shirt. I may either be barefoot, or most recently, my favorite footwear is my comfy, flexible, Converse shoes.

A Relaxed, Casual Studio

Along with my casual attire, you will find a relaxed, casual studio. The front of our house was built for Photography by Brandi. It consists of a camera room, an ordering room, a short hallway and a large bathroom. You will find wall portraits on every wall! My favorites are in the bathroom. I call the bathroom my outtake room!

A Kid Proof Camera Room

Of course, unless you have four white padded walls, there is no such thing as completely kid proof. As much as a camera room can be kid proof, that is what you will find. There is a changing table (with extra diapers, just in case) for the little ones, a comfy rug for the older ones, and a comfortable couch and chair for the adults!

A Full of Energy, Chaotic Session

It would not be any fun if the session was boring and stiff! Depending on the type of session and the age of my subjects, I may give some posing suggestions and tips, but then we just go with the flow. There may be screaming, there may be laughing, there may be weird noises coming from me, there may even be some crying, but all of it is for the ultimate goal...portraits full of personality!

One on One Ordering Session with Brandi

Approximately two weeks after your session, you will come back to the studio to view a slide show presentation of all your images, set to music. You will sit back and relax as you watch your show, and, if I have done my magic successfully, there may be a few tears! After watching your show, we will go through your images one by one, selecting your favorites. Then, together, you and I will discuss the products you are interested in, what is most important to you, and how we can get you everything you want!

We will select everything, including size and portrait style as well as frame and mat choices. Many of my clients tell me they love the feeling of having it all figured out when they head home. Placing your order during your one on one ordering session eliminates the pressure of placing an order hanging over their heads when they get home! They can just relax and smile at the memory of their slide show.

Beautiful Portraits to Hang On Your Walls

Four to six weeks after placing your order, I will call or email you to let you know that your portraits are ready! We will schedule an appointment for you to come out to the studio to pick them up. After showing them off to you, I will package them up, help you pack the car and away your portraits go to find a home on your walls and to be admired by all!
